It’s been almost six months since the release of Mortal Blood’s third album “Harbingers of Chaos.” What has been Mortal Blood up to since then?
Well, there’s new material for a new album, as well as cover songs.
Because there’s a gap of time between finishing an album and the actual release, writing new material always begins before an upcoming release. A new album for 2025 is expected later in the year.
Since the release of “Harbingers of Chaos,” Mortal Blood released a Doom Metal cover of Bauhaus’ classic “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” as a side project. The idea of the side project is appealing, so look for more Mortal Blood side projects.
Finally, the urge to remaster the first release “Unholy Feast” has taken hold and it looks as if the album will be remixed and remastered for a simmer release. The remix and remaster will bring out the musicality and vocal aspirations intended from the alblum.
